Experience is the best teacher. This is not what had happened or a report from someone, its my personal work and if you don't understand or get any piece of it correctly, feel free to leave a comment below this post or contact me here. So what did i do? I registered here about a year ago(at the time of writing this blog) after being referred by my friend.

Its only that my first few trials didn't work and my patience didn't ran out after three or five months of trying. But at the eleventh month is when i got my first "online" job. Its so simple with just a few steps. You register, pick your job categories or areas you are familiar with, place your bid, wait for the employer project owner to choose the best bidder(employee or freelancer). If your bid is selected, you communicate with the employer and gives you the full job details, you negotiate the payments and mode of payments and the duration you'll take before the project is fully completed. There are many online payments available even to the undeveloped or developing countries mostly in Africa.Eg:
Moneybookers-(Skrill)Can be connected to withdraw and deposit cash from your local banks,to ATMs,wire transfer etc.(i recommend this). It also gives an option for mobile phone withdrawal eg MPESA and ZAP for East Africa.
Paypal-you send to any body which ever country but most African countries you can't withdraw to you bank or ATM.
Alertpay-Just like Moneybookers but its slow.
Western union-but not widely used in online transactions.
Among others are Giro, eway epay, safepay etc.
NB:these are my own opinions about the best for payments, I can't guarantee of their efficiency.
Ops, did i finish my story?
Well, after i got my first job,we communicated with the project owner through emails. In my case it was just copy from a certain website and paste to another site that he gave me. I was doing the work a few hours a day when not very busy and within 3-4 days i had finished and submitted my project. He was very quick and approved my work the same day. So i sent him an online invoice and in less than 12 hours money was in my account.Personally i used Paypal for payment, but for a Kenyan or a few selected African countries i wouldn't recommend you use paypal but go for moneybookers. But for a country like Malawi,Ghana they locally withdraw to a Visa Card or local banks. So my money was in my PayPal account but was looking for a better means or a way to cash it in any local bank, and after contacting Kenyan banks i found no better withdrawal option instead they advised on money bookers & alertpal. For about one month and i have some dollars somewhere but can't get them in my pocket/wallet? I had to think otherwise.Plan B just hit my mind.
We Kenyans lag behind in Technology matters but with time we'll catch-up,but we won't go in a group called Kenya,it starts with an individual.Have you ever heard of buying items from abroad/locally online? I mean you get item X from a website, you place your order, pay for it,track it while on transit, receive your item no matter the thickest forest you might be.NO face to face bargain or chat,NO call just a single email. That's what i did and the item was in my hands after 8 days when i placed my order and am proudly here sharing my experience so no need to worry when am here for help.
